Flap discs are one of the handiest abrasives used in metal fabrication. Most fabricator and Engineers first selection in numerous grinding polishing operations is flap disc because of life and flexibility of use. Flap disc are conformable than other bonded and coated abrasive discs and wheels.
Flap discs are constructed of overlapping abrasive-coated flaps attached to a central moulded flexible base. As work progress flaps continually wear away to expose a new layer of abrasive mineral. This allows for a consistent cut-rate and finish.
The physics and anatomy of flap disc make them excellent choice for grinding and blending on welded corners, curves and contours
