Polishing machines are one of the key types of equipment essential for doing buffing or polishing. The machine is also referred to as a buffing machine. It is mainly used to polish hard metals like copper and brass. It is also adopted for polishing plastics like the Perspex. The machine consists of two mops amidst which the material to be polished is carefully pressed and the mop moves forward and backward to polish it. Before putting the material in the polishing machine, it is required to be filed for facilitating scratch removal to smooth the surface as only then the material can be polished.

3M™ Cubitron™ ll Cloth Belt 784F

3M™ Cubitron™ ll Cloth Belt 784F features 3M Precision Shaped Grain. Our cloth belts are a precise mix of shaped ceramic and premium aluminium oxide. They have a flexible J-weight cotton backing and open coat construction. The belts also feature a waterproof backing and grinding aid.
Use 3M™ Cubitron™ ll Cloth Belt 784F for a durable, faster, and more consistent cut than aluminium oxide belts. A precise mix of shaped ceramic and premium aluminium oxide delivers optimal cut in medium pressure grinding and blending applications. Our cloth belts cut exceptionally fast and self-renew during grinding. These high performing belts deliver cost effective performance on medium pressure applications, where a full ceramic belt may be underutilised. With their water resistant polyester backing, these belts can be run wet or dry.

To protect heat sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys from heat related stress cracks and discolouration, a grinding aid has been added to reduce grinding temperatures. Additionally, the abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Coarse grades 36-80 have a YF weight backing, while finer grades of 120-180 have a lighter XF weight backing. Both weights are moderately flexible and conform well to slight contours and flat surfaces. The science of 3M™ Precision Shaped Grain Blend 3M Precision Shaped Grain signifies a major advancement in abrasive technology. PSG is a ceramic mineral designed using a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. 3M scientists then went one step further and engineered the mineral to form uniform triangular shaped grains that continually fracture into super-sharp points and edges that slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or ‘ploughing’ like conventional abrasives. PSG creates a super-fast cut and lessens heat build-up on the workpiece, reducing heat related stress cracks and discolouration. Moreover, because PSG stays cooler and sharper, it lasts longer than conventional abrasives. For increased performance, 784F belts feature premium aluminium oxide blended with PSG for a sharper, longer lasting abrasive. This not only delivers more consistent performance, but also provides up to two times longer life than comparable aluminium oxide belts. Longer life means lower cost per finished part and less time lost to belt changeovers, maximising throughput. Engineered for demanding industrial environments For more than 100 years 3M has been a leading abrasive supplier to the metalworking industry. With a wide combination of minerals, backings and bonds, regardless of your grinding and finishing applications, 3M offers a full line of quality coated and bonded abrasives. The exceptionally fast cut and long life of 3M Precision Shaped Grain makes it ideal for industrial environments. Trust Cubitron™ II cloth belts to produce immediate, uniform results over the life of the product on all metals, including heat sensitive alloys.

3M™ Trizact™ Cloth Belt 237AA

3M™ Trizact™ Cloth Belt 237AA uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron graded aluminium oxide particles are coated on an X weight cloth backing for a consistent cut and finish. Our belts feature a grinding aid to help prevent heat build-up, warping and discolouration.
Use 3M™ Trizact™ Cloth Belt 237AA with fast cutting aluminium oxide, for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. Our belts feature unique 3M microreplication technology, where micron graded aluminium oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral, then coated onto an X weight cloth backing. Under medium pressure, these pyramids continually break down to expose fresh sharp mineral, providing a consistent cut and predictable fine finish. The durable backing to 237AA cloth belts helps provide control, conformability and effective medium pressure grinding. The resin bonded abrasive gives greater heat resistance and helps prevent delamination. The three dimensional pyramid structures of abrasive are uniformly distributed over the entire surface ensuring consistent performance. These ‘pyramids’ contain layers of mineral, and they begin to break down after repeated use, continually exposing fresh mineral. The cycle of mineral renewal sustains the abrasive’s sharpness. These belts use a film media splice – a strong secure bond that joins the belt ends and is made of a thin film-joining media that minimises chatter marks. This keeps the belt running smoothly and offer consistent finishing results. Our Trizact abrasives produce a finer finish, achieve faster results and last up to five times longer than conventional abrasive products. They offer precise finish control, allowing operators to reduce grade sequences and subsequently, fewer processes steps and abrasive products.
